Maintenance Planner / SAP Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a Maintenance Planner who will play a critical role in driving preventive maintenance programs, improving equipment reliability, coordinating maintenance activities, and supporting the successful utilization of SAP maintenance systems.

Position Overview
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities to maximize equipment uptime, improve preventive maintenance completion rates, and support safe and efficient plant operations. This role serves as a key link between Maintenance, Production, Purchasing, and Operations while managing maintenance work orders, spare parts planning, and SAP maintenance processes.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules and maintenance work plans.
Coordinate daily, weekly, and long-range maintenance activities and projects.
Support equipment installation, repairs, and facility maintenance activities.
Partner with Production, Operations, and Maintenance teams to minimize downtime and improve reliability.
Manage and maintain SAP maintenance modules, work orders, labor tracking, and maintenance records.
Work closely with Purchasing to source and expedite parts, materials, equipment, and services.
Monitor maintenance performance metrics, PM completion rates, and downtime reduction efforts.
Coordinate inspections to ensure safe and efficient operation of plant equipment and facilities.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, reliability enhancement, and cost savings.
Support safety, quality, environmental, and housekeeping initiatives throughout the facility.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Management, MIS, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years of experience in maintenance planning, maintenance work order systems, process management, project management, or a related manufacturing environment.
Experience working with maintenance systems, inventory management, preventive maintenance scheduling, or CMMS/SAP systems (maintenance modules).
Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
Proven commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams across operations, maintenance, purchasing, and leadership.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, ISO 9000, and/or TS 16949 standards.
Experience managing spare parts inventories and maintenance KPIs.

The compensation for this position is typically $ 65,000-$78,000. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.
The compensation package may also include short and long-term incentive compensation.
